Dieng Plateau Tour

Solo (Surakarta) Tour

The City of Solo or Surakarta, is an ancient
capital, it offers many attractions particularly during the festival
originated from its two Royal Court. The Keraton (Palace) Kesunanan
facing the main square is still the residence of the Sesuhunan (Chief
Ruler) of Solo. A 17th century walled in building with extensive
pavilions, audience hall and grounds, the art gallery which is open
to the public contains many heirlooms. In the Court Yard, the guards
and other palace retainers keep the court traditions in dress and
manners. Another palace is Mangkunegaran Palace, the residence of
Prince Mangku Negoro, built in 1757. Its audience hall is open for
public. Near the western gate of the northern Keraton square is
Pasar Klewer which is perhaps Java best known textile and batik
market.

Yogyakarta - Art & Village Tour

Then the village of Kasongan as the center of pottery, Gendeng -
a village which is famous for a leather puppet, then on to Kerantil
- for its wooden masks.
