4 DAYS TORAJA HIGHLAND TOUR
Tour destination in this package is concentrating on the oddly
shaped island of Sulawesi. As set foot at Hasanudin Airport gateway
of this island, visitors will be taken along to Tanah Toraja a
domain located in the northern part of South Sulawesi. This spot
has been famed for many years with its native people celebrations.
The glamourous event of funeral ceremonies of the native people
which is based on their old ancestral tradition rise uniqueness
and worth to discover. Still in this region that there is the
only one among ethnic in this archipelago who enter the dead on
a cliff which is famous known as “ Hanging Grave”. The oddly shaped
roof of their house has significant recede to heaven. Other discoveries
like natural beauty of misty blue mountain, silk weaving centre
are features to be seen on the way to Toraja.
Day 01: Ujung Pandang
- Rantepao
Upon arrival at Hasanudin airport of Ujung Pandang, you’ll be
met and direct departure for Rantepao. The approximately 8 hours
trip takes across Bugis Village with their typical houses on poles,
along magnificent mountain passes. Lunch will be served at Seafood
restaurant in Pare - Pare - a small port 155 km north of Ujung
Pandang. Late afternoon, arrive in Rantepao, check in at the hotel
for dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Rantepao
After breakfast, leave the hotel for a full day Toraja Highland
Tours, visiting Lemo - the cliff tombs, Suaya - the Royal tombs
and Sanggala - the baby grave on the tree. Lunch will be served
at local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch, visit the burial
cave at Londa and traditional carving village at Ke’te Kesu. Dinner
and overnight at hotel.
Day 03:
Rantepao
After breakfast, leave the hotel for a full day Toraja Highland
Tours, visiting Palawa - traditional Torajan Village with full
of buffalo horns in front of their houses, Sa’dan - the traditional
weaving village and Bori - the ancient Megalithic stone (menhir).
After lunch, visit Marante - the hanging grave and Nanggala -
traditional Torajan village with fourteen granaries. Afterwards,
back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Rantepao
- Ujung Pandang / Departure
After an early breakfast, depart for Hasanuddin Airport for flight
to your next destination, passing through the same route as arrival.
Lunch will be served either at Seafood Restaurant at Pare - Pare
or at airport restaurant.
