12 DAYS LESSER SUNDA OVERLAND TOUR
Day
01: Lombok
- Sunbawa
Early depart from Lombok to Sumbawa island, enroute to
Kayangan ferry harbor you will have several visit at Narmada Summer
palace - Kingly Royal Palace built by Anak Agung Made Karangasem during
his reign. Loyok village where to observe bamboo crafts as the local
produce furniture, bags, boxes, etc. Pringgasela village to comprehend
how the Ikat Tied dying made. After lunch process to eastward to catch the
ferry. Approximately one and a half hours on ship arrive at Tano harbour
of Sumbawa island. Proceed drive following the coastal road to Sumbawa
Besar Town. Check in and overnight at Hotel.
Day 02:
Sumbawa - Bima
Morning leave the hotel for Bima, there is a chance to visit
the wooden Sultan of Sumbawa Palace. The palace stand on 99 strong teakwood
stilts is as the appreciation of the 99 God characteristics. Proceed to
follow descending road through the savannah and busy areas, water buffaloes,
horses, goats, and bulls in big number of group grazing freedom. Lunch
en-route. Afternoon arrive to Bima town, with a short visit to Bima Sultan
Palace before check in at your hotel.
Day 03:
Bima - Komodo
Early departure to Sape harbor at southern east of the island.
Upon arrival at Sape harbor, you board the boat. The boat is comfortable,
clean with cabins, toilet and kitchen. Sailing cross the strait to Komodo
island is approximately 5 hours, sail on marvelous and panoramic marine
give you unforgettable experience. Afternoon arrive to Komodo island then
check in at Rangers House. Rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 04:
Komodo - Labuhan Bajo
After early breakfast, preparation for hunting and exploring
the island to observe the Komodo Dragon or Varanus Komodenses in real
habitat. Various of wild orchids may be seen, wild pisgs, deer, and bird
orchestras will accompany you on bush trails. Aferward, back to the boat
for re-sailing back to Labuhan Bajo harbour. An opportunity for snorkeling
at Red Beach. Beautiful spot to witness a wealthy life of underwater.
After lunch proceed sailing to reach Labuan Bajo where you will be
accommodated.
Day 05:
Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa
En-route to Ruteng a stop will be made at Cara village to
see the cultural work of Manggarai people implemented on Lingko Lodok -
a web shape of rice fields. Lunch at Ruteng, then drive to Bajawa.
Along the way is beautiful view of countryside and suitable place for your
photo stop. Demonstration of wine distilling at Aimere village.
Day 06:
Bajawa fullday tour
Morning breakfast at hotel, leaving for Bajawa Tour covering
a visit to : Langa village - to observe the demonstration of traditional
bajawa hand weaving, Bena village is located amidst of active volcano where
the villagers worship their ancestors. Proceed to Wogo village to observe
the real way of Ngada civilization where the houses furnished by huge
tombstones, Baga and Ngadu sacred tiny house for sacred ceremony. Return
to Bajawa town for your lunch then continue for a soft trekking to witness
three newest crater lakes irrupted previously. Return to hotel for resting.
Day 07:
Bajawa - Riung
Morning depart Bajawa to Rung at thenorthward of the island.
En-route there are severals interesting village for photo stop. Your
highlight at So'a hot water spring, you cn involve and gathering local
people who coming there to heal certain sort of diseases. Afterward
proceed to Riung for check in at your accommodation.
Day 08:
Riung tour
The nature conservation in Riung mainly to protect the
underwater ecosystem. Take your whole day chance to explore the small
islets off - shore which known for beautiful coral garden with white sandy
beach. There is an island with unspoiled mangrove forest in habitat by
thousand of huge eating bats.
Day 09:
Riung - Moni
After breakfast departure to Moni by pass through Savannah
and coastal road. Some chances for photo stop at village and Penggajawa
where locals collecting blue gravel stones on beach. Proceed to Ende town
then overnight at Moni.
Day 10:
Moni - Kelimutu - Maumere
Earlier morning drive up to crater lake for the sun rise
and admiring the nature beauty of Kelimutu lake which is believed by Lio
tribes as a sacred lake. Once you arrive at Kelimutu you will find yourself
something like nowhere, incomparable with known told stories, photo or even
moving picture you have seen before. Afterward proceed to Kelimutu for
overnight.
Day 11:
Maumere tour
After breakfast you will be taken for sight seeing to
Watublapi village, a hamlet about 18km southeast of Maumere. Locally known
for its fertile land and rich exotic tropical fruits and plants. You will
be entertained with dance and folk songs accompanied with local dishes and
drinks. On the way back to hotel we can see the making of Ikat weaving as
the main job of the people in the area. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12:
Maumere - Departure
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for your next destination.
